    About This Opportunity

    InComm is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our InComm Agent Solutions (IAS) team located in our North Miami office. As the Senior Systems Engineer you will be architecting, designing, planning, and integrating for all systems and software environments. This includes system hardening, designing for growth, security, high availability, speed, performance, etc. You will work closely with all members of the IT staff to answer, escalate and resolve issues related to any windows servers, network storage, server software applications and virtualized systems. We are primarily a Microsoft shop, have a large group of Windows based applications that were developed in house and use Cisco UCS servers in a virtual environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and maintain all windows computer servers, disk storage and VMWare environments throughout the organization
    • Analyze and recommend solutions to improve overall performance, redundancy and scalability of infrastructure
    • Build and install new systems and applications
    • Participate in infrastructure design and redundancy planning with heavy forethought and understanding of how interactions can cause complications with other systems
    • Provide Tier 3 systems and server application support in a 24x7 environment
    • Ensure data and server systems are backed up on a regular basis and recoverable
    • Perform VMWare builds, upgrades, design, troubleshoot, HA/DRS/FT/VDS/VDP

    • Design and create PCI compliant Kiosks for secure credit card payments
    • Create dev/test environment for development purposes

    • Work with IT management on disaster recovery solutions for all systems and applications
    • Troubleshoot and take ownership of issues that arise with various applications and systems and work to resolve them until a resolution is reached
    • Provide resolution of issues for postmortem review and analysis
    • Travel to local and remote data centers when required to resolve an issue or work on projects and initiatives 
    • Facilitate and help build effective and productive relationships will all levels of leadership and support teams
    • Participate in on-call rotation with other IT staff to support production and corporate sites
    • Work on projects assigned by manager and project management team
    • Provide timely feedback to Managers on open issues and provide quick resolution

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field or equivalent experience; any other technical certifications are a plus
    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience working in Windows server environments 2012 and 2016
    • Strong experience with administering VMWare 
    • Experience managing IIS web server farms in a .NET environment
    • Ability to write scripts, batch files, and automated processes
    • Experience with Cisco standalone and blade server hardware
    • Experience managing Cisco UCS 
    • Experience with load balancing and clustering protocols and systems
    • Previous knowledge of best practices for SOX, PCI, and compliance
    • Hands-on experience working with EMC storage and Active Directory
    • Working knowledge of Domain Names System (Windows DNS, BIND)
    • TCP/IP Networking and Internet Routing troubleshooting skills
    • Experience with HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and E-mail protocols and settings
    • Experience working in multiple remote data center environments
    • Basic understanding of relational databases
    • Experience with: 
      • Linux, Red Hat Operating Systems
      • Windows Management Tools
      • MS SQL server administration
      • Backup software
      • Patch Management
      • Microsoft Operations Manager
      • Great Plains
      • Network Cabling

    In addition to technical qualifications, you also must be able to: 

    • Work extended hours when required
    • Work independently and as a team while demonstrating sound judgment under pressure 
    • Handle and keep up with constant changes to products, policies, procedures and people
    • Lift heavy computer equipment
    • Work in on-call 24x7environment
    • Stand long hours in a data center environment
    • Travel to data center locally and remotely when needed to resolve issues or work on a project
    • Possess decision-making, analytical and time management skills as well as being organized and a self-starter
