    About This Opportunity

    Responsible for the execution of daily design needs for the packaging division of the company. This position develops visual design and/or layout of product artwork and packaging, creation of presentation decks for the sales team, and production file layout assistance as needed. This position must meet tight deadlines and handle a multitude of creative activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct responsibility for assigned design and deliverables.
    • Designs and illustrates a wide range of projects from concept to final product.
    • Uses various MAC software tools and technologies to create conceptual and innovative designs.
    • Prepare final layout and artwork for printers/factories that is detailed and accurate.
    • Estimates work schedules, communicates progress, and meets Client deadlines. 
    • Follows design trends and report findings.
    • Researches competitive packaging material in the market.
    • Mock up proto types for sales presentations.
    • Create die line templates for packaging concepts.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Computer skills required:
      • High level skills on MAC with Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign.
      • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
    • Other skills required:
      • Ability to read and interpret documents such as brand guidelines, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
      • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
      • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
      • Excellent time manager and team player who can estimate work schedules, ensure that deadlines are met, and communicates progress.
