    About This Opportunity

    The Key Account Manager will develop account relationships with strategic partners, managing initial and ongoing account launches, maximizing opportunities to expand distribution of retail  gift card products, engage accounts in promotional opportunities and maintain a consistent account revenue stream, as well as other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.  This position’s key focus will be to maintain, retain, and grow an owned book of business as well as support the overall business priorities in a fast paced and evolving environment.

    Responsibilities

    • The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of developing and executing upon annual account plans to over achieve the territory sales objective, by account.
    • Manage cultivating the relationship(s) with each account and continually seek new opportunities to increase sales.
    • Achieving sales and profit objectives by account and territory.  This includes proper ongoing due diligence and developing plans to achieve sales and grow profits.  Focus on tracking, monitoring and controlling all costs related to operating the account spending such as displays, merchandising promotional plans. 
    • Fact based selling, utilizing the company’s databases to build business plans for each account that will identify added value dollar opportunities to capitalize on.  In addition, providing a weekly/monthly/annual business review that focuses on the accounts results and performance by category, partner, sku, as well as accounts comparisons vs the accounts channel.
    • Familiar with Category Management concepts to develop and implement planograms for each account that are proportionate to the opportunity and strategic direction of the company, that complements the accounts channel.
    • The ideal individual will be a detailed organized person, who is very familiar with building and successfully executing upon accounts business plans. 
    • Launching new products and programs flawlessly and on time, developing merchandising plans with their retailers, creating and executing promotional activities and resolving account issues and barriers is essential in growing the account business.
    • Contract Management – Ensure that for all assigned accounts the renewal process is followed and properly planned and implemented successfully. 
    • Working closely with internal teams and account on inventory management to achieve 97% in stock objective. Includes forecasting, report analysis and process improvements
    • P&L Management - Track, monitor and control all costs related to operating the account spending such as MDF, displays, merchandising, promotional plans as well as personal business expenses. 

    Qualifications

     

    • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
    • Ability to create and analyze sales reports and identify and execute business building solutions
    • Proven ability to create and implement strategic plans
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
    • Proven ability to prioritize workload throughout multiple accounts
    • Must be driven to identify and meet customer needs and expectations
    • Ability to listen attentively, respond effectively and resolve client issues
    • Ability to project manage through planning and scheduling
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including working with Pivot Tables for account sales analysis.
    • Proficiency in Retail Link
    • Proven ability to work independently
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of Key Account Sales/Account Sales experience in retail and /or consumer package goods. 
    • Strong computer and analytical skills required. Must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  
    • Fluent in English and Spanish
