    About This Opportunity

    InComm is seeking a  Business Analyst, EDM for our EDM Portfolio Management Team.  This team is responsible for servicing the following groups:

    • Business Intelligence
    • MDM
    • IDM

    The Business Analyst, EDM will reporting directly to the Manager, EDM Portfolio Management, Business Intelligence.  You will have the opportunity to interact with end users and gather requirements for reporting and data movement projects.  Projects will be BI related involving dashboard development, standard and custom report development, data warehousing, data migration and data abstraction.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business and user needs.
    • Documents requirements, defines scope, objectives, and conceptual designs with customers.
    • Consult with requestors to provide guidance and recommendations on potential solutions.
    • Provide recommendations on how Enterprise Data Management solutions might enhance business decision making capabilities.
    • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translate business requirements to be easily consumed and acted upon by technical teams.
    • Work with technical teams to track development progress and ensure requirements are being met.
    • Partner with business leadership to clarify business goals as they pertain to Enterprise Data Management.
    • Perform testing as needed to ensure all requirements are met by development teams.
    • Assist customers with user acceptance testing.
    • Provide status updates on projects to all levels of management as required.
    • May also be responsible for other task and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
    • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures regarding requirements gathering
    • Proficiency with MS Office & Visio
    • Excellent communication skills, and ability to write in a clear and concise manner
    • Experience documenting use cases and/or user stories a plus
    • Experience with MS Project a plus
    • Familiarity with Data Management concepts, practices, and procedures a plus
    • Exposure to Data Warehouse/BI tools/SQL and related technologies a plus
    • Experience with large transaction processing systems a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of study (i.e Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business, etc.)
