    About This Opportunity

    This Category Advisor position will report to the Family Dollar Director of Accounts. This position will reside at the Family Dollar corporate office in Charlotte, NC. The Category Advisor will be the primary day to day liaison on all prepaid account operational tasks and issue resolution, both internal and external. The Category Advisor will do this by collaboratively planning, coordinating, and executing with cross-functional resources at multiple levels within the Family Dollar and InComm organizations. The Category Advisor should be detail orientated and demonstrate expertise in category management, reporting, analysis. This person will help the InComm account team support the prepaid category at the retailer with the goal of growing sales and profitability with a special focus on operational, marketing and promotional initiatives. An overview of responsibilities include:

    • Ongoing communication with each retailer by leading facilitate weekly status calls and tracking open items
    • New store setup and support
    • Executing new product and program launches
    • Marketing and advertising support:
      • Maintain marketing and advertising calendar and marketing tracker
      • Plan, setup and manage promotional activity tracker and creative for all promotional assets
      • Support and participate and annual tradeshows
      • Analyze and maintain a database of all promotions/shipper/planogram analysis
    • Reporting and analysis:
      • Weekly, monthly and annual reporting for retailer and InComm including a monthly scorecard/recap
      • Ad hoc analysis including, product, fixture, competitive ad tracker and SKU rationalization and analysis for POG in JDA
      • Forecast new opportunities and existing business in retailer commission, topline, and GAAP $
      • Work with InComm category analysts to run and review promotional results
    • Support director on presentations for business review presentations, promo summaries, new partner/program proposals and partner alliance
    • Maintain fixtures components, inventory and planograms utilizing JDA software
    • Primary Liaison with InComm warehouse team to support all kitting and orders
    • Assist with the on-going management of InComm Auto Replenishment and OOS levels
    • Secure allocations from individual product owners as needed, to get ETAs on new products/initiatives, etc.
    • Manage all new production requests working with DC to ensure inventory is delivered on time for launches.
    • Forecasting future needs on cards based on a formula that includes current sell-through rate, expansion and new stores.
    • Liaison for store support and merchandising initiatives and maintenance.
    • Work closely with merchandising to ensure inventory is being counted and recorded correctly.
    • Collaborate with merchandising teams on special initiatives/resets/addressing problems to resolution
    • Reviewing reports/pictures provided by merchandisers to ensure execution and compliance with account team and retailer strategy.
    • Regular support, troubleshooting and resolution for store level, billing and Customer Service Issues
    • Ongoing Maintenance of databases, including: master store list, fixture list by store, pricebook and InComm merchant program file.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5 to 7 years of Account Management experience
    • Experience utilizing JDA POG software
    • Point of sales marketing services or sales experience
    • Prepaid or gift card business experience
    • Risk analysis
    • Strategic account planning

    Travel:

    • Willing to travel domestically

    Physical Environment: 

    • The work is performed in a private stand long office or cubicle environment that is generally controlled by the employer.  Traditionally, the work environment is adequately ventilated and lit by natural light and florescent fixtures.  It contains standard office equipment and furniture and is free of non-work related objects and furniture.
