    About This Opportunity

    InComm Digital Solutions would like to add a software engineering manager to our team. We're looking for an innovative software leader who can work well within our highly collaborative, agile team to help us develop high quality, testable software. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, mentor, and manage a team of full-stack software engineers focused on delivering SaaS products and features built on the IDS platform.


    The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading SaaS product development teams in an agile environment. You will be sharp, motivated, hardworking, and well versed in development best practices. Excellent soft skills are required.


    Primary job duties include:


    • Formally managing software engineers within the engineering organization
    • Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to individuals by maintaining engagement, providing feedback, identifying growth opportunities, providing career guidance, facilitating goal setting, identifying training opportunities, completing performance appraisals, and addressing personnel issues
    • Recruiting new talent to our team and effectively retaining existing talent
    • Fostering an environment in which individuals and teams are empowered and remain excited, motivated, and satisfied
    • Driving agile development values and practices and fostering collaboration and innovation across our development organization
    • Developing and promoting an understanding of the overall application delivery lifecycle and activities, including concepts around continuous delivery and DevOps
    • Contributing to our culture of continual learning and continuous improvement
    • Protecting individuals and teams from external distractions and facilitating the removal of external roadblocks
    • Identifying, creating, and fostering business relationships across departments and functions by working with the product organization and other stakeholders
    • Communicating and reinforcing business objectives and priorities to the engineering team
    • Participating in and contributing to technical strategic planning, refinement, and execution
    • Demonstrating the company's values by maintaining a positive demeanor, being transparent, encouraging diversity of thought, and leading the team through organizational changes




    • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a software engineering team
    • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering
    • Experience with SaaS product development and RESTful API development
    • Experience with agile development practices
    • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
    • Familiarity with design patterns and principles
    • Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development
    • Willingness to dive into any challenge with a positive attitude
    • Excellent communication skills




    • Git or other DVCS
    • C# and the .NET Framework (v4.5)
    • NET (MVC 4.5, WebAPI 2.1)
    • Experience writing client-side JavaScript applications with AngularJS or other frameworks
    • Knowledge of data access technologies like ADO.NET or an ORM such as EF or Dapper
    • Experience with SQL server
    • Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments
    • Experience with AWS
