    Responsibilities

    ·        Strong Unix skills including performance analysis and windows is a plus.

    ·        Supports the preparation of the performance environment and infrastructure

    ·        Working in multiple languages, including JavaScript, XML, Shell Scripting/AWK, Perl, PowerShell, Devtest(preferred), Load Runner etc.

    ·        Performs the execution of the performance testing, problem resolution, data collection and analysis according to the project plan schedule

    ·        Contributes to the development of performance scripts and non-functional requirements gathering.

    ·        Sizes performance benchmark/tests effort, identifies, and documents tasks for the project plan and Level of Effort.

    ·        Creates and maintains Devtest and Load Runner scripts and scenarios or any other load test tool.

    ·        Makes contingency decisions during the test execution for retest and modification of scenarios

    ·        Responsible for creating all project deliverables including performance strategy, performance test reports and performance dashboards for metrics etc.

    ·        Leads performance requirements planning workshops, test readiness reviews and performance test results review

    ·        Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance of Performance engineering processes, policies and procedures.

    ·        Gathers business key metrics and volumetric and assembles workload and transaction information for performance testing

    ·        Assists with the identification, creation and maintenance of data needed to execute performance test.

    ·        Assist leading conference calls to perform load/volume/smoke test.

    ·        Work on a small team as a self-starter, a go-getter

    ·        Test at smoke, stress testing, endurance/soak, spike, volume, scalability and load test levels.

    ·        Collaborate with different teams within the IT organization.

    ·        Monitors network, DB, system performance on Windows and Linux environment.

    ·        Monitors DBs performance, ensure that databases are operating at optimum efficiency.

    ·        Handles User and Security Management

     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years hands-on experience on Windows, HP_UNIX/AIX and Linux performance and tuning, sql server performance and tuning.
    • 5+ years hands-on creating and executing performance testing on multiple platforms and tools.  Experience with Devtest and load runner preferred.
    • 5+ years hands-on Java, SoapUI, shell scripting performance testing of mobile platforms.
    • 5+ years hands on sql, sql plus scripting, oracle 10g/11g, sql server 2008/2012/2014
    • Firm understanding of performance test methodology, the SDLC, test environment/ test data management
    • 5+ years leading performance testing and follow through successful resolution of issues.
    • Ability to assist to identify and isolate performance issues either on the system, database or application.
    • Excellent organizational skills to include: scheduling, monitoring, tracking, reporting and follow through.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and to effectively multitask.
    • Open to work after hours or weekends when needed.
    • Excellent skills in all of the following areas: presentation and facilitation, analytical  and problem solving
    • Team player with ability to learn quickly, coach and lead.
    • Excellent understanding of networking.
    • Overall more than 7-10 years of experience in IT related work.
    • Proficient on Microsoft Office, Visio, MS Project.
    • Must have strong initiative and have proven experience independently driving projects to completion 
    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS or equivalent is a must
