    About This Opportunity

     

    InComm is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Retail Solutions team.  The Retail Solutions team is responsible for retailer integration projects.  They support both Domestic and International (South America, Asia, Australia, & Europe) clients. 

     

    The Business Analyst, Retail Solutions role is heavy external client facing.  You will have the opportunity to work with various external clients and be responsible for requirements gathering on retail integration projects primarily but will also work on some internal projects.  The external projects will include:

    • New Platforms
    • New Cards
    • New features
    • Financial Services
    • Toll & Transit

     

    The Business Analyst, Retail Solutions should have a strong Business Analyst background with extensive documentation skills and experience with business products.  This role does not require previous hands on development experience but, you should have an understanding and the ability to read code. 

    Responsibilities

    The Retail Solutions Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements, as well as translating them into functional requirements in order to resolve business needs. Close coordination between this position, Project Managers, Quality Assurance Analysts and Developers is required to achieve success. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization, technical, prioritization, analytical, and problem solving skills.

     

    • Gather, analyze, define and document business & functional requirements along with other project artifacts
    • Document and organize requirements in a logical fashion.
    • Assist business owners in defining project scope.
    • Manage scope changes from business stakeholders.
    • Provide support to business areas by means of research, documentation, and training.
    • Participate fully in the project development process, contributing to the development, enhancement and maintenance of company and Partner systems on various platforms.
    • Participate in meetings where business requirements are developed.
    • Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders in establishing requirements and goals.
    • Obtain approval of business requirements from the customer.
    • Coordinate with project managers to meet project deliverables and implementation schedules.
    • Communicate and coordinate with the QA team to ensure business and functional requirements are met during the testing phase.
    • Assume responsibility for definable project goals.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum 4 – 6 years’ business analysis or equivalent experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS or equivalent work experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications a must.
    • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
    • Exposure to the following technical languages: Java, XML.
    • Understanding of database concepts and ability to write simple to queries (must have hands-on SQL experience).
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one programming language preferred. E.g. Java, C
    • Experience in analyzing and creating use cases and use case (or sequence) diagrams.
    • Experience documenting business requirements and artifacts.
    • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and basic project methodology.
    • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to effectively work with others in a team.
    • Effective problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
