    The responsibilities of the Business Operations Specialist include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage all operational aspects of assigned office, department, or business unit
    • Responsible for running, reviewing, and delivering weekly Management Reports to Executive Leaders
    • Monitors and assesses day-to-day business operations of assigned office, department, or business unit, including daily office operations/facility management, finance, and educational/professional developmental needs for assigned staff
    • Supports and manages administrative (e.g., sets up meetings, takes minutes, plans training/departmental events, sets up audio-video, coordinates schedules/travel), operational, and analytical tasks responsibilities related to business unit, including supportive responsibilities to managers in the business unit
    • Manages department supplies, inventory, and equipment
    • Participates in continuous improvement process initiatives for the office, department, or unit manager
    • Assists Marketing and Sales team with special projects as needed including collection and coordination of content for RFP submissions and Financial Services intranet website
    • Provides Marketing and Product teams with project management support for marketing programs and product initiatives; coordinates activities with vendors and agencies including invoice management
    • Responsible for other tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned.


    • 4 or more years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or business operations
    • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated skill at typing 45 error-free words per minute
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Windows-based applications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; a significant portion of these duties are commonly performed from a stationary or sitting position.  The employee uses their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or control objects as well as reach.  They may bend, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.  The employee commonly performs work on computers to include keyboarding and repetitive motions.  They must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


    Physical Environment:  The work is performed in a private stand long office or cubicle environment that is generally controlled by the employer.  Traditionally, the work environment is adequately ventilated and lit by natural light and florescent fixtures.  It contains standard office equipment and furniture and is free of non-work related objects and furniture.
