    About This Opportunity

    InComm is currently looking for a Development DBA to join our Core Transaction Processing Team.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Work independently supporting the complete database development life cycle tasks – requirement gathering, design, develop, testing, documentation and post-deployment support
    • Provide database logical design to new application development
    • Design, development and implement all database objects including tables, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures
    • Perform database code review & approval for database schema and data changes
    • Implement data archival strategy for transaction processing and business intelligent systems
    • Tune databases for optimum performance
    • Coordinate database work with application teams and operation teams
    • Develop, support and communicate database coding standards, guidelines and policies
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Subversion

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related technical field
    • 5+ years of experience supporting database development in a high volume OLTP environment
    • Experience reviewing/auditing large number of database objects (procedures, tables, functions and views) and dependencies
    • Strong SQL performance tuning skills
    • Sufficient knowledge of MySQL databases
    • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures to ensure consistency in systems
    • Willingness to take ownership to continuously improve performance
    • Strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to change priorities quickly and capacity to handle multiple tasks
