    About This Opportunity

    InComm is looking for experienced security engineers to join the InComm Cyber Security Engineering and Architecture team.  The position will focus on cyber security design related to InComm’s infrastructure, IPS systems, Access Management, Firewall, Web Application Firewalls, Security Incident and Event Management systems, and other cyber security related tools.

     

    This role will demand excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  The candidate should be able to design, review and recommend designs around multiple toolsets focusing on various area of security including security posture, advanced threat detection, access controls, and security event management. The Cybersecurity Engineer IV candidate must be capable to communicate multiple peer teams within the organization as well as security leadership.  Last, the ideal candidate should be willing to continuously work to improve their knowledge around the latest security trends with an ability to review what toolsets might address potential gaps.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead in identification of cyber security gaps and recommend as well as implement any required mitigation strategies.
    • Work closely with InComm’s Security Operations to develop effective dashboards and assure proper visibility.
    • Create designs, standards, and procedures for the implementation of network and systems cyber security compliance controls as outlined by InComm’s compliance office.
    • Provide leadership in the planning, design, implementation, and management of cyber security controls in IT and/or across the organization.
    • Develop focused final reports and associated deliverables based on analysis and improvement recommendations around various products and postures.
    • Report on the results of design changes to partner organizations on a regular basis to track the effectiveness of cybersecurity solutions.  Further, make additional recommendations with effectiveness does not meet expectation.
    • Maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable cyber security standards.
    • Maintain knowledge of the cyber security capabilities of leading external enforcement vendors, networking devices, control systems, and various security vendor offerings.
    • Design and implement SIEM tools, dashboards, and analytics (i.e. Splunk, MacAfee, Nitro, etc.).
    • Comfortable with designing Dashboards, Reports and Data Analytic charts.
    • Deep knowledge of data analytics and statistical analysis.
    • Strong sense of urgency in recognition of security incidents limiting the overall impact to the InComm environment.
    • Trend issues and monitor security posture to ensure that repercussions on known issues do not escalate.
    • Previous experience with Secure Programing in either HTML, Java, C, C Sharp, JSON or C++ programming languages.
    • Familiar with Scripting Languages such as Python. 
    • Experience with and Comfortable UNIX/Linux/Ubuntu Platforms.
    • Assist in the cybersecurity leadership of new infrastructure efforts inclusive of Database, Storage, Compute, Virtualization, and network subject areas.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science) with 8 years of professional security experience; or 5 years of professional security experience with a related Master’s degree in Computer Science related curriculum.
    • Documented experience with cyber security processes, tools, and technologies and extensive knowledge of best practices regarding their implementation in commercial IT and/or OT environments.
    • Knowledge of industry best cyber security practices and standards to include but not limited to the following; NIST Core Security Framework, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-82, ISO 27001/2.
    • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, GCFE is required.
    • Network Security Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or similar related background a plus.
    • Expert understanding of infrastructure virtualization and applicable security practices around cloud management and VMWare.
    • Experience in code/scripting development with the ability to write signatures for new threats as required.
