About This Opportunity

The FDA II will work closely with the Manager to review and manage large sets of transaction data.  The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and be able to mentor the the team.  This position can offer long-term career development opportunites for the candidate who is motivated to excel.


The primary purpose of the Financial Data Analyst II is to perform the timely and accurate reconciliation of transaction activity on complex accounts with large volumes of data.  By manipulating and analyzing internal and external data, the associate will identify discrepancies, research the root cause of the discrepancies, and work to correct the cause of the issue, or collect/pay funds appropriately. The Financial Data Analyst II will own the financial relationship between InComm and their assigned merchants/partners.

  • Financial Data Analyst II is expected to develop an end-to-end understanding of the transaction processing workflow and understand the way that the data flows between the Merchant, InComm and the Partner to process a complete transaction
  • Manipulate and analyze internal and external data with varying formats, quality, and accuracy while maintaining the integrity of the data. Tie data to financial transactions. (Datasets often have over a million records)
  • Use a variety of tools, and advanced Excel to contrast and compare internal and external data
  • Work with both internal and external resources to ensure data is accurate; Take necessary corrective steps to repair inaccurate data with the appropriate resources
  • Work with Financial Accounting to ensure accurate recording of adjustments and proper representation of balances on financials
  • Facilitate meetings with external parties to acquire accurate data representing the external side of the transaction; Using that data the Financial Data Analyst II will be responsible for identifying any potential break-points in the external partner’s processes and work with the resources to mitigate and correct any deficiencies that would impact data reconciliation
  • Create accurate and meaningful reporting of the InComm data that can withstand scrutiny of external partners and give them comfort that the reconciliation of the data sets is accurate and complete; Working with the external parties utilize the reconciled data to resolve any conflict or disparities and obtain all sums due to InComm
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned





  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Prior experience working with large sets of data (at minimum 500,000 rows at any given point)
  • Ability to self-direct activities, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • ‘Hands-on’ approach, willingness to roll up sleeves and dig in
  • Ability to communicate at various levels throughout an organization both internal and external
  • Flexibility, including ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous, high pressure environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes of issues and recommend resolutions; ability to present results in a meaningful terms
  • Strong pattern recognition skills
  • Strong knowledge of database and spreadsheet software with Advanced Excel skills including but not limited to advanced Pivot Table use, advanced formulas (not using the formula wizard) and the use of charts. Intermediate to Advanced Access Skills, and a working familiarity with SQL and VBA Experience with Microsoft Office applications required
  • Experience working with large ERP system required; familiarity with Oracle and Oracle Discoverer is a plus
  • Various language skills required (International positions)
