About This Opportunity

Quality Assurance Engineer with demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment and proven success supporting IT departments for a complex technology-centric solution.  Strong testing methodologies and efficiencies as well as the ability to adapt and apply those sound testing fundamentals to changing requirements and situations is essential.  Ability to translate technical requirements into deliverable test cases and test scripts.


  • Review requirements, specification and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.   
  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.  
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.  
  • Execute automation test scripts and perform white box and black box testing.  
  • Discover, document and tracks defects. Solid Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.  
  • Work on projects/matters of complex complexity. Work with cross-functional teams throughout the software development and testing life cycle, including the requirements gathering and design. 
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. 
  • Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. 
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.  
  • Provide regular, detailed status report on project progress, including test cases executed, defects discovered, and defects fixed. May design and develop automation scripts. Subject matter expert to provide knowledge to automation engineers in support of creating automation for defined platforms.   




  • 4-6+ years of experience with QA and/or application development
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with black box and white box testing
  • Minimum 3 years’ QA experience within the banking/financial industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Test Director, Bugzilla, Team Track, JIRA, TFS, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 yeas of experience working in iterative development (e.g., Scrum)
  • XML/Soap UI experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • SQL & SQL Server experience required. (Able to write queries from scratch)
  • Excellent prioritization, time management/multi-tasking skills
  • Full SDLC experience; Agile experience preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptable to changing environments
  • Handling complez issues and problem, and seeks guidance from higher level staff as needed. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, team player.
