Overview

InComm Digital Solutions would like to add a Software Architect to our team. We're looking for innovative software professionals who can work well within a highly collaborative, agile team to develop high quality, testable software. Your primary responsibility will be to help drive delivery of SaaS products and features as a member of an engineering team.
 
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience performing SaaS development in a .NET environment. You will be sharp, motivated, hardworking, and well versed in development best practices. Experience writing testable code (and the tests to go along with it) is very important to us.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with technical leadership to define and vet technical designs
  • Developing .NET APIs using the ASP.NET WebAPI framework
  • Contributing to overall system architecture strategy and design
  • Providing coaching and mentoring for a team of talented engineers
  • Performing code and design reviews and overseeing the development of API product development
  • Motivating an agile team and fostering collaboration and innovation across our development organization
  • Giving technical presentations and hands-on training to our development organization

Qualifications

Required: 

  • 7-10 years of experience and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong experience with Git or other DVCS, C# and the .NET Framework (v4.5, and NET (MVC 4.5, WebAPI 2.1)
  • Knowledge of data access technologies like ADO.NET or an ORM such as EF or Dapper
  • Experience with SQL server
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Strong familiarity with design patterns and principles
  • Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development
  • Deep knowledge of the HTTP protocol
  • History of successful technical leadership on software projects of increasing size and complexity
  • Solid employee coaching and communication skills
  • Experience correcting performance bottlenecks and scaling a platform in a growing business
  • Willingness to dive into any challenge with a positive attitude; be a go-to resource for team members who need help
  • Expert-level debugging skills
  • Works well in both team and individual development environments
  • Experience with agile development practices

 

Preferred:

  • MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with writing client-side JavaScript applications with AngularJS or other frameworks
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Experience in consuming third-party web services
  • Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments
  • Experience with tools like Swagger, RAML, or API Blueprint
  • Experience developing client SDKs
  • Experience with AWS
