About This Opportunity

InComm is currently seeking a Manager I, BI Development to join our Business Intelligence team.  The BI Team is responsible for providing data analysis and enterprise reporting to entire organization.


We have recently reorganized our BI development team to accommodate growing demand for reporting and analytics capabilities throughout the organization.   The BI team is now divided into 4 groups:

  • Sales (2 developers)
  • Finance & Fraud (3 developers)
  • FP&A (4 developers)
  • General Development (2 developers)


The Manager I, BI Development will initially be responsible for managing the FP&A team. (Additional 2-3 reasources are exptected to be moving to the FP&A Team in the future.)


The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as managing a team of at least 4-5 people.  Someone who started as a developer or BI Analyst and moved into management, although this is not a hands-on technical position.  Experience with managing remote resources is key as well. 


  • Manage a team of BI Developers to deliver reporting and analytics solutions to internal business customers
  • Ensure departmental goals are met and team deliverables align with project commitments for quality, accuracy and schedule
  • Develop relationships with internal customers to facilitate requirements gathering and analysis and to establish lines of communication for status updates and customer feedback
  • Work with other technical teams to coordinate project interdependencies
  • Address operational issues as reported by the business
  • This position will also be responsible for other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.


  • 7 or more years of professional experience with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility in a Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence environment
  • 3+ years experience managing Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence development resources (including hiring responsibility)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with report development/BI software applications (SSRS, Crystal, Microstrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, OBIEE)
  • Direct experience with Tableau and Microsoft SQL Server/SSRS preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to successfully deliver enterprise BI/Data Warehouse solutions
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to interact with users at all levels – from C-Suite executives to individual contributors, as well as external customers
  • Professional, polished presentation skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with banking/financial services/prepaid debit a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field: Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering
