About This Opportunity

InComm is looking for an Oracle Software Engineer I to join our Oracle Solutions team. The Oracle Solutions Team is a part of our Financial Information Systems (FIS) group. The FIS group is responsible for providing analysis, development, process improvements, program management, and production support to our customers (Accounting &Finance) with Oracle Financials. The Oracle Solutions team delivers solutions for the business requirements.


The Oracle Software Engineer I is responsible for producing quality deliverables for a defined project. Technical responsibilities include technical design, development, documentation, debugging and analysis. The position requires good time management skills, attention to detail, good source code maintenance and implementation and adherence to standards and best practices. This individual must be an effective communicator, capable of providing direction and guidance to others, escalating issues and concerns to management, providing root cause analysis and problem resolution. The ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities is a must.


This person will provide the following essential functions:

  • Coordinate with business analysts/functional consultants to understand and document the Technical Specifications(MD070).
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Provide on-going application technical support to business customers Oracle Applications Technical issues, troubleshooting, Code Promotions between the instance and resolving complex problems.
  • Work in a collaborative environment.
  • Develop technical design documents for conversions, interfaces, and reports.
  • Develop customizations and extensions to Oracle Applications as per client requirements.
  • Work with Oracle Support and Metalink research to resolve Oracle application bugs.
  • Follow and refine technical standards and guidelines.



  • Bachelor’s degree with greater than 1-year development experience working in an Oracle 11i/R12 Applications environment.
  • Strong experience in developing Forms, Reports, Workflows, XML Publisher Reports, OA Framework, Interfaces, Conversions using Oracle APIs, SQL and PLSQL.
  • Experience with schema and table structures in various e-Business modules.
  • Proficient with UNIX Shell Scripting.
  • Understanding of financial(AR/AP/GL) functional process skills in extending and supporting Oracle 11i / R12.
  • A team player who can work in a collaborative environment and be highly self-motivated with a drive to achieve and get results from themselves.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SDLC methodologies.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a strong team player.
