About This Opportunity

Incomm is seeking a Category Advisor to manage one of our major retail relationships.  This person will need to understand how to work with internal teams and partners on the retail side to be able to best serve and grow the relationship.  Ideally looking for someone with account management experience and who has ideally managed retail accounts previously. 

 

This position will either sit in the corporate office in Atlanta, GA or in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities

 

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Travel to Client site with on-site requirements for managing the POSA business:
    • Conduct Monthly category meetings with Client’s Merchandising Team to discuss the progress of the business.
    • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews illustrating competitive gap analysis.
    • Conduct product launch testing in both DEV and PROD environments supported by Client's IT.
  • InComm Healthcare and Affinity
    • Conduct Monthly marketing meetings with VP of Marketing to discuss promotional platform opportunities.
    • Growing the OTC business through awareness within Client’s marketing/buying teams illustrating opportunity gaps.

 

Regular Duties:

  • Partner Alliance preparation and mid- year mini summit.
  • Weekly Reporting and analysis.
  • Promotional marketing and advertising planning and tracker.
  • Properly maintaining contractual budgets.
  • Preparing sales meeting presentations and presenting as needed.
  • Ability to conduct special projects as needed.

 

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain sales analysis on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Sub-Category and product sales detail.
  • GAAP calculations measured against approved budget and compared against monthly Actuals.
  • Work with Promotional Marketing Manager to provide Promotional ROI Summary for Card Partner and Retail Partner review.
  • Work with Trade Marketing Manager on SKU Analysis for Store/Fixture Performance identifying opportunities to improve performance including item opportunity rankings, underperforming items, stores, promotion theme opportunities, etc.
  • Forecasting sales to maximize efficiencies for AR inventory requests and print requests.
  • Ad hoc analysis as requested and defined by the Client. 

 

Maintain Monthly Scorecard

  • Complete monthly scorecard templates, including sales, market share, competitor performance, brand performance, competitor promotions, sales plan, fixtures, etc. and analyze performance progress.
  • Where applicable, analyze regional differences for above.
  • Identify emerging trends and forecast impact on business.
  • Maintain MDF and Fixture Contract Summary.

 

Presentations:

  • Host weekly conference call with Client's Merchandiser and InComm teams.
  • Provide weekly sales updates.
  • Provide various project tracking updates including product launches, merchandising efforts, and promotional activity.
  • Assist Client Merchandiser with line reviews on an as needed basis.
  • Launch kick-off presentations.
  • Assist Regional Director of Sales with top to top meeting presentations.

 

Special Projects

  • Special Projects as defined by the Client.    
  • Support strategic initiatives, new category or program launches, fixture rollouts, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years Account Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience
  • Analysis and problem solving skills (tools and techniques)
  • Business strategy and process skills
  • Previous experience as in vendor analytics preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including experience with pivot tables
  • Proven ability to work independently
