About This Opportunity

Incomm is looking to expand its team with a Software Engineer - Java Developer. This position requires the ability to implement business requirements and design specifications into working product. This position also includes adding features and functionality, support of ICT.

Responsibilities

  • Development and Support of ICT and associated applications
  • Support design and assist in planning team sprints and projects
  • Support and maintain projects developed by the team and assist in production outages
  • Develop new features and enhancements on the platform
  • Test and certify release of code artifacts
  • Communicating with external web services
  • Design, Develop, Configure, Deploy, Debug, Monitor and Document new features and enhancements on the systems
  • Assist Coordination between business and development and across teams
  • Assist in planning the team sprint and project planning and apply appropriate standards and processes throughout the SDLC
  • Support and maintain projects developed by the team and assist in production outages
  • Test and certify release of code artifacts
  • Generate estimates & deliverables (E&D) based on requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience participating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version  control, build management, unit testing, and issue tracking software (ex. SVN, Maven, JIRA, Jenkins)
  • Experience in generating estimates & deliverables (E&D) based on requirements
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring
  • Experience in developing Web Services (ex. RESTful or SOAP) and strong experience utilizing XML
  • Experience with prepaid Cellular / Wireless services a significant plus 
  • Experience with high volume transaction processing design and development
  • Experience developing within a Service Oriented Architecture environment
  • Experience with data modeling methodologies and master data management
  • Experience working within PCI and SAS70 environments
  • Experience with application frameworks like JSF, Spring MVC, Hibernate
  • Experience developing using Agile practices (Specifically XP, Scrum and TDD)
  • Experience using Queuing technologies like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ etc
  • Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
  • Creating e2e test suites for all components.
  • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
  • 5-7 years of progressive Java development experience including JSE, JEE in enterprise level scalable, distributed and fault tolerant environments
  • Strong Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring
  • Experience in developing Web Services (ex. RESTful or SOAP) and strong experience utilizing XML
  • Familiarity with open source application frameworks
  • Flexibility to learn on the job and adapt to a changing environment
  • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
