About This Opportunity

The Director of Product Innovation Asia Pacific is responsible for developing and managing the product innovations focus for the Asia Pacific market. As a member of the Asia Pacific Leadership team and reporting to the Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific, the successful candidate will work in partnership with key stakeholders internally and externally to the business.  


The scope of the role is to assess market wide trends and innovations with a view to continually develop and diversify our product offering for our customers within the region, setting out a strategic plan that takes into account current and future market trends in the Asia Pacific region, whist ensuring alignment with InComm’s Global business strategies


The Director of Product Innovation will have accountability for the following areas:

  • Assessing region wide market trends and opportunities
  • Raising InComm’s profile within the Fintech community to include attending industry events and developing partnerships with emerging payment technology companies
  • Building an innovations 3-5 year strategic roadmap for the region
  • Commercial modeling in collaboration with the business and finance teams
  • Developing sales strategy, training and frequent coaching for in country business teams
  • Leading key client pitches and oversight of initial product launches

The Director of Product Innovation will participate in analyzing performance of the portfolio to identify customer trends and behaviors and work with executive management to refine pricing models and product mix based on this analysis. Internally, the role primarily interfaces with Regional Leadership, In-country business teams and Atlanta based teams including Retail Solutions and Financial Services. External relationships may include technical partners and retail customers.


The product scope includes many areas of emerging technology including, but not limited to; Financial Services, Mobile Wallet and E-Commerce solutions.



  • An innovative, forward thinking and entrepreneurial mindset who takes direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable finished product
  • Knowledge of contactless payments, cloud based wallets, tokenization, mobile, digital gift, and ecommerce preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technology/product lines in a highly innovative environment.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use metrics to support assumptions and clearly communicate insight to others.
  • Proven ability to create, implement and evolve strategic plans
  • Excellent relationship management, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout multiple accounts and meet deadlines
  • Must be driven to identify and exceed future customer needs and expectations
  • Effective communication with stakeholders of all levels of the organization including executive and senior management
  • 30-50% Travel Requirement
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Japanese, Korean or Chinese language is an advantage


Location: to be based from InComm Australia or Hong Kong offices
