    Responsibilities

    • Work together with the Product Owner(s) to develop java web application software according to priority and functional requirements.
    • Adhere to and help improve the development practices set by the Director of Development and the team.
    • Ensure product requirements adhere to overall development best practices in their format, documentation, communication and implementation as directed by the development director.
    • Technical design and analysis of business use cases in preparation for development.
    • Work well in Agile Software Development Life Cycle.
    • Document in code and contribute to team and project wiki spaces for delivery to platform owners and deployment personnel.
    • Provide unit testing to ensure quality builds in a continuous integration environment.
    • Support QA in automation and integration testing. 
    • Lead the development effort to ensure the best technologies are implemented for the highest impact of success of the product's vision.

    Qualifications

    Must have at least 3+ years’ experience working through the design, development, testing, release cycle and delivering software products.

    • Ability to lead and collaborate in the development effort while also providing innovative and creative solutions.
    • Ability to run with an idea or solution and create opportunities to see the product succeed.
    • Vision for what needs to be done, without specific direction.
    • A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual and with a team.
    • Strong understanding of the software development life-cycle (SDLC).
    • Strong understanding of the agile software development methodologies and principles.
    • Strong understanding of, and desire to implement continuous delivery and integration within the development life-cycle.
    • Willingness and ability to dive into technical issues within environments.
    • High command of verbal and written English and able to clearly communicate design, architecture, implementations and requirements.
    • Self-motivated, self-managed.
    • Team-player, action & results-focused.
    • Able to work under tight deadlines.

    Must have strong technical working experience with:

    • Must have at least 3+ years’ experience with Angular 6+, ngrx, CSS, and HTML5.  We need someone with strong front-end skills and the ability to understand and implement good design of these front-ends (i.e. usability)
    • Front-End Development

    • REST services
    • General SQL and Database Schema experience
    • Spring-Web/Spring-MVC and JAX-RS

    • Gulp
    • NodeJS

     

    Awareness of the following technology stack:

    • Tomcat (tcserver)
    • Container based environments (Docker)
    • Hibernate, Hibernate/JPA
    • Websockets
    • MS-SQL
    • BitBuickit (GIT)
    • Bamboo Build Tool
    • JIRA & Confluence
