    About This Opportunity

    InComm is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our InComm Agent Solutions (IAS) team located in our North Miami office. As the Software Engineer, you will solve interesting new problems shaping our product roadmap IAS. You will be part of an entrepreneurial team of technologists, innovators, and industry leaders responsible for delivering world-class solution capabilities and innovative payment products and services at a rapid pace while serving our customers seamlessly across physical, digital, mobile, and social media.     You will be a core member of an aggressive agile team driving the latest development practices. Writing code and working with API specs and automation. Translating functional and business requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Design, develop, implement and test new software applications, tools, systems and services. Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies and mentor junior development engineers.

We offer bill payment options for service providers, utilities and wireless carriers.

     

    Responsibilities

    Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop high quality, efficient and defect-free applications, tools and other modules in C#, .NET, ASP.NET,, Transact SQL and other applicable languages and tools. Modifying existing applications. Must have experience in web services and SOA architecture. Has an understanding of object oriented design concepts. Must posses the ability to work in a team environment, have excellent communication skills and a cooperative and positive attitude.
    • Must be detail oriented and submit source code with a minimum of errors.  Respond quickly and effectively to correct defects reported by the quality assurance team in code you have authored and that of others.   Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests.
    • Respond to production outages as your highest priority and quickly resolve those problems with a minimal disruption of business activities.   These outages may occur after business hours on weekends.   In rare cases, you will be called upon to assist in the resolution of outages
    • Actively participate in periodic source code reviews as a recipient and as a lead.  Adhere to all communicated software development standards and practices.
    • Must be a self starter and have the ability to learn new tools, concepts and computer languages through self learning.   Programming guidance will be given by other team members as required.
    • Contribute to the improvement of developer tooling and processes
    • Perform all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including, developing prototypes and writing new code / API's
    • Function as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
    • Perform execution of software development lifecycle including the design, implementation, testing, delivery of product features into a production environment
    • Conduct code reviews and mentor best practices in software development
    • Debug software components, identifies, fixes and verifies remediation of code defects (own work and the work of others)
    • Analyze requirements/ user stories to appropriately support design activities
    • Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5-7 years of software development or equivalent experience; majority with Full Stack .Net development
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field; Advanced degree preferred
    • Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing
    • Proficient in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, Web API
    • Expertise in objected-oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms
    • A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software
    • Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design
