    About This Opportunity

    The QA Engineer IV will be a key contributor to the overall QA strategy and will innovate on processes, practices, and tools. In this player/coach role, you will provide mentoring and leadership for QA/Automation Engineers across multiple agile teams, with the goal of enabling rapid delivery of high-quality software at a sustainable pace.


    • Mentor/lead team members on quality and testing practices
    • Assess risks and orchestrate appropriate test coverage to mitigate risks
    • Collaborate on an agile team; participate in daily stand-ups, estimating/planning, and retrospectives
    • Perform session-based exploratory testing to understand the system and uncover problems
    • Examine failures and facilitate continuous improvement efforts within and across teams
    • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to improve and maintain quality


    • 8+ years of experience in QA and/or software development
    • Experience establishing/teaching patterns, practices, and methods which have improved quality
    • Ability to decompose complex systems and reveal the most important risks quickly
    • Well-versed in defining quality strategies for an agile development environment
    • Experience with relational databases, proficient with SQL
    • Understanding of web technologies (e.g. HTTP, web services, IIS, SOAP, REST, WCF)
    • Programming/scripting ability with experience using multiple languages
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of architecture and technologies you’ve tested
    • Track record of continuous improvement in yourself and your teams
    • Software community engagement (conferences, meet-ups, and/or open-source projects)
    • Experience with various advanced testing topics such as performance/load, security, usability and/or accessibility testing
    • Understanding of nuances of supporting test automation in an agile environment

    Strong preference to candidates with:

    • Training in Rapid Software Testing methodologies
    • Experience with continuous delivery
